Steelcase Named a Best Employer for New Graduates by Forbes

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich., May 26, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Steelcase (NYSE: SCS) is pleased to announce it has been included on the Forbes list of Best Employers for New Graduates, ranking 43rd out of 300 organizations recognized. This marks the first time Steelcase has been included on the Forbes list. The Best Employers for New Grads list was based on an independent survey of more than 20,000 U.S. young professionals from companies employing at least 1,000 people within the U.S.

Sara Armbruster becomes Steelcase president and CEO

Sara Armbruster became the 10th CEO in the 109-year history of Steelcase on Monday, Oct. 4.

Armbruster succeeds Jim Keane, who previously announced his plan to retire in January 2022. Keane will continue at Steelcase as vice chair until his retirement from the company.

Sara Armbruster has taken charge as the new president and CEO of Steelcase, which is number two on the FDMC 300 list of largest woodworking manufacturing companies.

Armbruster, 50, replaces Jim Keane, who announced last April he would be stepping down from top leadership in the company. Keane is expected to take on a new role as vice president of the company’s board of directors until his planned retirement in 2022.
