GRAND RAPIDS, Mich, June 22, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE)Steelcase Inc. (NYSE: SCS) today reported first quarter revenue of $740.7 million, a net loss of $11.4 million, or $0.10 per share, and an adjusted loss per share of $0.05. In the prior year, Steelcase reported revenue of $556.6 million and a net loss of $28.1 million, or $0.24 per share, and had an adjusted loss per share of $0.22.

Sara Armbruster becomes Steelcase president and CEO

Sara Armbruster became the 10th CEO in the 109-year history of Steelcase on Monday, Oct. 4.

Armbruster succeeds Jim Keane, who previously announced his plan to retire in January 2022. Keane will continue at Steelcase as vice chair until his retirement from the company.

Sara Armbruster has taken charge as the new president and CEO of Steelcase, which is number two on the FDMC 300 list of largest woodworking manufacturing companies.

Armbruster, 50, replaces Jim Keane, who announced last April he would be stepping down from top leadership in the company. Keane is expected to take on a new role as vice president of the company’s board of directors until his planned retirement in 2022.
