High-end Italian furniture brand joins Haworth Lifestyle Design

High-end furniture designer and maker Cassina, part of Haworth Lifestyle Design, has reached an agreement to acquire Zanotta, an historic, high-end Italian furniture designer and maker.

Cassina will coordinate Zanotta’s activities and future development plan.

 

Haworth reports ‘strongest global sales performance ever’ in 2022

HOLLAND, Mich. – Office furniture giant Haworth reported $2.5 billion in 2022 sales, a substantial 27.5% increase over 2021. According to the company, it was the “best global sales performance” in its history.

“Achieving this level of sales is an important milestone for Haworth with credit due to the entire organization and our dealer partners,” said Franco Bianchi, president and CEO of the privately owned company. “Together with our clients and suppliers, we faced a tumultuous 2022 and achieved these results with deliberate strategy, a diversified portfolio and design innovation.”

Terry Seitz, owner of Woodbrook Designs, a case goods importer that has a warehouse in High Point, said he has a contract in place to purchase the Haworth seating property at 1673 W. English Road.

Haworth sales down 19% amid coronavirus pandemic

HOLLAND, MI — Furniture manufacturer Haworth reported global sales of $1.81 billion in 2020, a 19% drop from the previous year.

Despite the loss, the Holland-based company says its performance was “better than expected.” It credited efforts to diversify its product offerings.

“Haworth responded to the events of 2020 by leveraging our differentiation and global reach,” President and CEO Franco Bianchi said in a statement.

 

Haworth shuts down North Carolina furniture plant in consolidation effort

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Office furniture giant Haworth – number 7 on the FDMC 300 – has closed one of its furniture manufacturing facilies in North Carolina. The closure is part of a consolidation effort.
“This decision was motivated by the strategic intent of consolidating our North Carolina operational footprint and was accelerated by current economic conditions,” the company said in a written statement. “The High Point facility and employees have a rich history of manufacturing Haworth furniture and we are grateful for their contributions.”
