Bisley founder passes away

It is with great sadness that Bisley announces the passing of its Chairman and owner Anthony ‘Tony’ Brown, aged 86, on 4 April.

Tony began working at Bisley in 1960 and acquired the company from his father in 1970. At the time, the business had 45 staff members and annual sales of £370,000 ($400,000). Today, it generates annual revenue of around £70 million and exports its products to more than 75 countries.

Google taps UK firm to build furniture for its California headquarters

Bisley, a Wales-based office furniture manufacturer, signed a contract with Google to develop bespoke workspaces for the Googleplex headquarters in California.

The Welsh firm will supply custom-made furniture to the tech giant’s campus in Mountain View as part of the project which is in the consultation phase, according to Business Live.

 

Bisley debuts at Stockholm Furniture Fair

Bisley is to present its first ever showcase at the Stockholm Furniture Fair (7-11 February 2023), illustrating the multitude of innovative ways in which the brand’s collections can support and enhance home working. Organised in four zones, the stand will focus on key products which tell the story of Bisley’s wide-ranging expertise in designing and manufacturing office furniture solutions, at home and in the workplace.

 

 

Bisley Appoints Creative Director

Newport based office furniture manufacturer Bisley has appointed Jeanine Goddard as its new, and first, Creative Director.

Jeanine assumes her new position after four years as Bisley’s Showroom and Interior Designer, where she has been responsible for developing and enhancing the Bisley aesthetic at their London Clerkenwell showroom and at Bisley’s global subsidiaries around the world including Dubai, New York, Paris and Dusseldorf.

Production returns to the Bisley’s Newport factory

Newport-based office equipment manufacurer Bisley has restarted work at its factory in Caswell Way on the Reevesland Industrial Estate.

The firm, like many businesses, has been affected due to Covid-19 and the government’s announcement for all non-essential businesses to close or to work from home over the last nine weeks.
