Flokk brand Connection opens new state of the art manufacturing facility and offices in the UK

Connection, the latest brand to join European office furniture giant Flokk group have opened a bespoke designed and built manufacturing facility, housing warehouses and offices in Mirfield, Yorkshire. Attending the opening were Lars Røiri, CEO of Flokk and René Sitter, Senior Vice President, Central Europe, as well as key stakeholders to celebrate with the Connection team.

The new 45,000 sq ft facility is furnished with a state-of-the-art design and upholstery facility as well as an advanced manufacturing line, designed with the intent to contribute hugely towards the sustainability goals of Connection and the wider Flokk group.

Office furniture giant Flokk acquires Connection, doubling footprint in UK

Flokk, one of the leading European manufacturers of office seating and office furniture products, has acquired UK-based office furniture manufacturer Connection, expanding its footprint in the strategically important UK market and underpinning its international growth strategy. “Having Connection join the Flokk group moves us into the major league of Europe’s second-largest office seating market. We roughly double our size to about EUR 30 million in the key UK market. The transaction is another example of Flokk continuing to consolidate the fragmented European office seating market through targeted and value-creating acquisitions of attractive companies and brands,” says Lars I. Røiri, CEO of Flokk.

PHILIPP DICKE IS THE NEW COUNTRY MANAGER AT FLOKK

Since the beginning of April, Philipp Dicke has been the new Country Manager Germany & Austria at office chair specialist Flokk.

He takes over the baton from René Sitter, who focuses on his duties as Senior Vice President Central Western Europe and the Flokk Group Executive Board.

“I am very pleased that Philipp Dicke has recruited someone from our own ranks who, with his broad industry and sales experience as well as his strategic expertise, will continue to drive Flokk’s growth in Germany and Austria,” says René Sitter.
