Steelcase rides rebound as HNI merger nears, but tariffs still bite

MUSCATINE, Iowa — Office furniture supplier HNI has taken a key financing step in its pending $2.2 billion acquisition of Steelcase, announcing the launch of an exchange offer for any and all of the latter company’s outstanding 5.125% senior notes due 2029.
