The GSA is promoting its newly opened “Innovation Lab” at its headquarters building, a pilot coworking space that “showcases the latest innovations in office design, furniture, and technology to meet the needs of today’s hybrid federal workers.”

“The lab lets your agency try new technology and furniture options from multiple vendors before purchasing. Technology includes products that enhance your employees’ hybrid experience, promote health and wellness, and support the federal government’s commitment toward a net zero carbon emissions operation,” GSA said.

Administrators to sell assets as office furniture maker collapses

Bluespot Furniture, a West Yorkshire-based furniture manufacturer, has ceased trading and appointed administrators amid a sustained decline in demand post-COVID. Joint administrators James Sleight and Oliver Collinge of PKF GM will now seek to sell the firm’s remaining assets.

In the company’s latest accounts, for the year ending September 30 2021, it had around £588,000 in fixed assets, with current assets valued at £814,544. At the time, the company’s total liabilities stood at £104,178.

A new partnership between a Grand Rapids-based furniture and design company and a portable partition manufacturer plans to help increase patient and provider safety in hospitals.

Steelcase Health, a division of the Steelcase brand, last week announced its partnership with U.K.-based portable partition manufacturer KwickScreen to combat the spread of health care-associated infections (HAIs) and offer more diverse solutions to medical facilities.
