La-Z-Boy set to open in South Windsor, vacate its existing store just over the border in Manchester

SOUTH WINDSOR — La-Z-Boy is set to leave its Manchester location for a nearby storefront in Evergreen Walk. Michele Lipe, South Windsor’s director of planning, said La-Z-Boy recently secured building and sign permits for a storefront at the former Pier 1 near L.L. Bean, allowing the company to start renovations, though it is unclear when the new store could open.
