Flokk brand Connection opens new state of the art manufacturing facility and offices in the UK

Connection, the latest brand to join European office furniture giant Flokk group have opened a bespoke designed and built manufacturing facility, housing warehouses and offices in Mirfield, Yorkshire. Attending the opening were Lars Røiri, CEO of Flokk and René Sitter, Senior Vice President, Central Europe, as well as key stakeholders to celebrate with the Connection team.

The new 45,000 sq ft facility is furnished with a state-of-the-art design and upholstery facility as well as an advanced manufacturing line, designed with the intent to contribute hugely towards the sustainability goals of Connection and the wider Flokk group.

Accounting expert named CFO of La-Z-Boy affiliated store chain

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Tipperary Sales, a La-Z-Boy home furnishings dealer, appointed Heather Morin as the company’s CFO.

“The Tipperary CFO role is a high-level strategic partnership serving with the CEO and leadership team to further the mission of the company,” said Martha Brown, CEO of Tipperary Sales. “In this role, Ms. Morin will manage financial elements of the company while also collaborating with key executives on initiatives that better support business operations and growth for the next iteration of company success.”

New leadership team named for ICFF + WantedDesign Manhattan

NEW YORK — Emerald, the parent company of the International Contemporary Furniture Fair and WantedDesign Manhattan, has made two leadership changes within its design group.

Kevin Gaffney has been promoted to group vice president of Emerald’s design group, and co-founders of WantedDesign, Odile Hainaut and Claire Pijoulat, will now assume the roles of brand directors for ICFF + WantedDesign Manhattan.

Gaffney has 25 years of experience managing more than 60 trade shows. He has held leadership roles with Emerald, including for the Boutique Design NY (BDNY) and HD Expo shows.
