I attach Roger Martin-Fagg’s latest Economic Update in which he explains where we are today in economic terms, how we got there, and what is likely to happen. I hope you find it interesting.

Roger’s view?  I think the real economy will still manage to avoid recession. We will experience stagflation - a period of very low, or no growth, with persistent domestically-generated price pressures.

This year’s Orgatec show in Cologne was a great success in many ways, not least in how it demonstrated the office furniture industry’s resilience in the face of disruption and difficulties. Visitors and exhibitors alike enjoyed the opportunity of meeting again after four long years, and seeing and appreciating the latest in innovative and stylish ideas.
